About Rachel, Raven & Rush

Hi, I'm Rachel and these are my two dogs, Rush and Raven. We have been raw fed since 2015 and would love to help you get started!

This site started when I saw desperate first-timers seeking guidance in Facebook groups. I felt terrible when people switched off raw because they didn't have the assistance they needed to make a successful transition. The internet is full of information (both wrong and right) and a ton of opinions. You may be wondering how to feed, what to feed, and how to balance and prepare raw meals. It can be intimidating at first, but I can help you get started.

My goal is to help you find the knowledge from credible books and resources to learn and understand a raw diet. I want you to become comfortable and confident in feeding raw. I'm here to answer any questions you may have along the way and lead you to the right resources if i don't have an answer for you!.

I am not a vet and I suggest you see a holistic, raw-friendly vet when you make the full transition to raw. I am not a certified nutritionist (the holistic certifications that support raw are far and few between, but I am looking!) However, I am a raw feeder with years of experience successfully feeding and weaning my dogs on raw.

Rachel’s Raw Fed Dogs is a meal planning and advice service based on the Prey Model Raw diet for dogs. Rachel’s Raw Fed Dogs does not assume any liability for the results of implementing a raw diet. Implement meal plans at your own discretion and please use your best judgement when monitoring your dog’s transition to raw. I am not a vet and cannot offer medical advice; please stop raw and see your vet if diarrhea lasts longer than 48 hours or if stool contains blood (bright red) or is black and tarry, or if your dog is showing lethargy or signs of abdominal pain (bloating, groaning, or panting rapidly or avoidance response when belly is touched). Raw has amazing health benefits but safety first!
